All New Weekly Strips by George Gant, Following a Stay-At-Home Dad and a Wild Two Year Old, to Debut June 19th

June 17, 2022- King Features Syndicate, home to some of the world’s most popular entertainment characters, today announced that Beware of Toddler is joining its expanding roster of digital comics, with new strips debuting Sundays on ComicsKingdom.com, starting June 19th. The strip, created by cartoonist George Gant, follows the relatable parenting adventures of a stay-at-home dad trying to survive daily life at home with his wild two year old daughter. Launching this Father’s Day on ComicsKingdom.com, the strip will feature a comical take on a toddler’s gift to her dad.  

Beware of Toddler first began with an impromptu game of hide-and-seek with George’s then two-year-old daughter, who made a beeline straight for him hiding in the closet instead of wandering around as expected. George thought that was hilarious and instantly drew a comic strip about it and shared it on social media. Ever since then, Beware of Toddler has become a platform for George to share humorous and universally relatable takes on parenting, including topics drawn from his experiences with black parenthood. Beware of Toddler has gained a loyal following over the years and been nominated for three Glyph Awards, a Webtoon Canvas Award, and a Ringo Award. 

“Beware of Toddler started after a funny game with my then two year old daughter, and over the years it has become a way to share and express universal experiences with parents around the world. As a stay-at-home dad, it is important to show how parents have more commonalities than differences, and I look forward to continue bringing readers the humourous adventures of trying to survive at home with a toddler,” said George Gant, creator of Beware of Toddler.

George Gant is a Chicago-based cartoonist and illustrator. He is the creator of the comic strips Beware of Toddler, The Reset Button, and On the Grind. He is also the artist of the comic strip Angel Face Investigates, which is published weekly in The Beano.
